Well, well. Look what we have here. Apparently Paris Hilton’s list of admirers is shortening by the day (oh the shock!) and the casting call for her new BFF-finding reality show has returned some rather gloomy figures. Even though Paris had stressed over and over that she would prefer to have only a handpicked few to vouch for the position of her BFF, I’m sure even she wouldn’t have expected that only 40 to 50 people would actually show up for the audition. I’d like to blame it on the way people tend to read between lines. I mean Paris HAD said on her MySpace page that she would not entertain any ‘open calls for the show,’ and that ‘every event is exclusive and hand-picked by invitation only’” because the sensitive soul that she is, she didn’t want her ‘potential BFFs to have to wait in long open-call lines.’ Now that’s bound to bum a few blokes off, isn’t it? Anyway, to find a silver lining in all this gloom, the good news still remains that with such a dearth of participants for the new show, we might even be facing a situation where Paris will be able to find herself a good, swanky new BFF without having to go through the rigors of actually shooting the darned reality show!
