It seems that Paris Hilton’s impending imprisonment is making her turn to religion. A couple of days ago the model was spotted shopping at the Buddhist store Bodhi Tree in Hollywood. Then later she was carrying a Bible. But by analyzing her new acts it appears that hot Hilton needs some more divine support as she is turning to Islam. Now she is wearing burqa and looks like a typical muslim. I wonder what all she will try to adopt before she gets the courage to face the sentence.
Police have selected the inmate, who will Paris Hilton’s cell mate for the next three weeks. As a matter of fact the selected inmate is also doing the sentence for reckless driving. The same offence for which Paris has been awarded three weeks imprisonment. Sources have confirmed to TMZ that jailers were looking for someone who will not try to cash Hilton’s stay. The woman has already moved into the cell but her name is yet to be declared. Jailers are conducting a through search to look for any hidden cameras, cellphones or other such devices that may leak Paris activities while she goes through her sentence. A stern warning has also been issued to the jail staff asking them not to take her pix or they risk their job. Well, authorities are trying their best to make Paris stay a low profile affair, but considering Hilton’s penchant to remain in limelight that would be a difficult task.
Authorities are trying their best to make Paris Hilton imprisonment a very low-key affair. In efforts to make sure that Hilton doesn’t manage to get access to air her experience while in jail, Sheriff, Lee Baca, has made it clear that Paris will not be allowed give any TV interview. Authorities have already launched a campaign to search for any hidden camera, cell phone or other such gadget that may leak any information about Hilton experience in jail. Sheriff, Lee Baca explained: Paying a debt to society should not be an element of her celebrity. Her occupation is publicity, but no one should profit in jail. It is believed that any picture or video clip of Paris, while in jail, would be worth hell of a money and Paris imprisonment may prove very lucrative to many paparazzi. Hilton sentence will begin on June 5 at a county jail in Lynwood, which is located about five miles south of Los Angeles. During the sentence Paris will not receive any royal treatment and would be treated just like any other inmate. Last month Paris was awarded 23 days of imprisonment for alcohol-related reckless-driving and driving with a suspended license. Hilton cellmate is being selected and interestingly she is also serving for the same crime.
Perhaps, in her last public appearance before the imprisonment Paris Hilton paid a surprised visit to MTV Movie Awards. But even than the actress accepted the fact that a mere thought of jail makes her scary. Hilton was wearing black strapless dress and jewels. She looked in a good mood and obliged photographers by posing in different styles. Expressing her feeling on imprisonment Hilton said: I am trying to be strong right now. I’ve received thousands of letters from around the world of support and it’s really been inspirational and really helped me. I’m really scared but I’m ready to do this. And I hope that I’m an example to other young people. Hilton’s sentence would begin on June 5 at a county jail in Lynwood, which is located about five miles south of Los Angeles. It has been learnt that in jail Hilton would be kept in ‘special needs’ unit. Though initially Hilton was awarded 45 days imprisonment for alcohol-related reckless-driving and driving with a suspended license, but later her sentence was reduced to 23 days as it was expected that she would show good behaviour in jail. Well, I hope that while in jail Hilton does some introspection and realizes that it’s high time to put an end to all her stupidities.
Surprise of surprises. Paris Hilton is believed to spend a calm night in the county jail. Though she had to spend the first night without a cellmate in 12-foot-by-8-foot space but she did enjoy her first jail meal: cereal, bread and juice. At the jail, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said: Hilton was easy to work with. Her demeanor was helpful. She was focused and cooperative. Earlier Hilton did one smart thing to dodge off the paparazzi, when she surrendered to Lynwood jail one day earlier than her actual reporting time. May be for her it is a new stunt to make headlines! She reached the jail a couple of hours later after paying a brief visit to MTV awards ceremony. And during the ceremony she did confide that impending imprisonment makes her jittery. Then Hilton had said: I chose to serve her time at a county jail to show that I can do it and I want to be treated like everyone else and if I am going to do the time I am going to do it the right way. She did even resort to various religions to muster the courage to face the sentence. Last month Paris was awarded 23 days of imprisonment for alcohol-related reckless-driving and driving with a suspended license. So far Hilton has managed to conduct herself but would she be able to do the same for the next 22 days?
